Mukul Deva is an Indian author, who has written 16 books. In our Writer’s Fortnight Session, he taught us how to plan and write a book. I found it a really engaging talk because he kept asking us what we wanted to be the plot or our own plot twists. There are two different parts to writing about – what you’re going to write about (plot, characters, setting, problems) and how you’re going to write it (researching, validating, writing it, editing, submitting).

Mukul Deva was really inspirational – he talked about his experience being an author and storyteller, and how he doesn’t care if his audience likes it or not, as long as they buy it (a bit money-focused). However, I still found it interesting to talk to a successful author, with a different take on what is important in life.
