Transition Reflection

This transition process has been a weird one: exams have been cancelled (I’m still conflicted as to how I feel, but it’s leaning towards the positive), and school ending doesn’t carry the gravity that it used to.

I still remember all the last days of school from previous grades. Grade 8’s is still stuck in my mind mainly due to the plethora of tears (none of which were mine) that were shed in the plaza that day. Good times.

This year, the last day of school was anti-climatic. I’ll probably never see some people again after this year, and COVID-19 has taken my chance to say goodbye in person. Oh well.

I’m still in disbelief that we are white-shirts in August. I can still recall G4 Fauzan craning his neck all the way up to catch a glimpse of a white-shirt. I’ll make sure to say hi to any neck-craners next year.

“There are places I’ll remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain

– Paul McCartney and John Lennon
