Healthy Living: January 2022

I felt very unproductive this month, kept trying to get to maintain 5 km, but couldn’t reach it, let alone hit 6km. I still felt like I had a mental block over trying to reach my 6km goal for this month and just felt tired most of the time. I ran 3 times this month, the first 2 on the treadmill, and the 3rd on the Our Tampines Hub running track. Deciding to run in a new place after just running on the treadmill for the past 4 months was a nice change of pace for me, as I was able to be in control of my speed, and be more aware of the pace I was comfortable in. Whereas on the treadmill, I have to run at a consistent pace, and so although at times I want to slow down, I still have to maintain my speed. I think running on the running track gave me some more confidence in my running ability, and so next month I still want to consistently run 5km, as well as possibly reach 6km.
