My name is Sonali, and I’m a student at UWCSEA East in Singapore! This is my website, where I write about my experiences and learning journey through high school.
A Grade 11 student who is motivated to learn and passionate about human rights.
Welcome to my website! I use this website as a medium to record and reflect on my learning journey as I go through high school. On this site, you will be able to find many of the reflections I have done over the years, about all sorts of interesting experiences and projects I have been part of. You will also be able to see some of the work I have done as part of my academic subjects and learn about the process behind them. I hope you enjoy looking through my page!
ABOUT ME
My IB Subjects
HL Geography
I took Geography as I thoroughly enjoyed it in IGCSE- I felt as if I had a better understanding of our planet, its systems and how we as humans interact with them . In the next two years, I hope to learn more about this and find ways to apply my learning to the real world.
HL MATH APPLICATIONS
I chose Math Applications and Interpretations as I thought it would be more relevant, both in the other courses I take, and in real life. In the next two years, I especially hope to learn more about statistics and how to interpret them, a skill that I believe is very important in today’s society.
HL Psychology
I chose to take Psychology as the subject has always interested me- I have always been curious to learn about how we as humans behave, and interact with others, and why we do so. In the next few years, I hope to build my knowledge and find ways to apply it to the real world.
SL ENGLISH LANGLIT
I chose to take English Language and Literature as I was excited about the opportunity to analyse non-literary pieces of text, which most of us come across more often. In the next two years, I am looking forward to engaging with a wide variety of texts, both literary and non-literary.
SL Biology
I chose Biology as I have always been interested in how organisms live and interact with their environment. In the next two years, I hope to build my knowledge on the subject, especially on evolution and genetics, two topics I am very interested in.
SL French
I chose to take French as it is a language I have been learning for over 6 years, and I enjoy learning about the language and the culture of France and other Francophone countries. In the next two years, I especially hope to improve my comprehension and speaking skills.
