Whole House Activity: MacRitchie Walk

Whole House Activities, according to older boarders, are usually met with a lot of scorn. However, this year, we were given the luxury to choose from a range of options: A visit to the Ground-Up Initiative, Paintball, Pizza-making, Woodwork, Beekeeping, and of course, a nature walk through MacRitchie Reservoir. It was a more challenging trek than I had initially expected as there were several inclines that we had to go through in the hot Singaporean weather. Being immersed in nature was extremely rewarding in spite of the shortness of breath we felt frequently and the buckets of sweat that poured forth. I think being with a lot of my friends made the activity quite enjoyable, exchanging quips here and cracking jokes there. I would love to return to this place one day, maybe even better-prepared.
