What will I foreground for my next IO practice?

When I was deciding which texts to talk about for this IO practice, I knew I wanted to explore something more than just gender. Don’t get me wrong, discourse about gender is interesting, but it is one I find quite monotonous. So I turned to identity, specifically, how the identities that are imposed on us are  wildly different from the identities we construct. Through this focus, I was able to find parallels between Woman’s World and #TheLook. In retrospect, these were two texts I enjoyed analyzing within the context of each of their author’s body of work. 

The main feedback I got from my outline was to be more explicit in linking the issue I wanted to explore to the text itself and to zoom in on specific details such as the compositional elements of both texts. I will be more mindful of this the next time around. From a conceptual standpoint, I got it, but much work is needed to be done on looking at the small things.
