My service

At the beginning of the year, I got scouted for a service called Music on the move where students go to the hospital and sing songs in different languages such as, Chinese, Malay, Spanish… etc to the patients. Last time I went, I got very touched as I saw the smiles on the patient’s faces. One of them told us that she wasn’t feeling well but we made her feel better, and another patient told us we made her feel really good and started crying of happiness. This showed that we are actually making a difference in people’s lives and the fact that by singing I manage to make someone happy, makes me really happy because I am doing something I love and besides our differences, the patients and I can still relate through music. So This service is really changing my perspectives on things and making me a more openminded person towards the world. I certainly do not regret joining this service.
