Project Week Media Session

Whilst on project week, it is important to keep in mind that when we take photos we should be ethically-minded. For one, we should remember to make sure that the people we take photos with and other subjects we take photos are in mutual consent. This includes them giving us permission through us asking them, and having them agree. Asides from consent, it is ideal that we have a wide array of photos from different angles and different objects to make things special(not a cliché). This would mean we wouldn’t take a photo straight on.

Another important thing to keep in mind is B-roll. Which is footage that describes what the surrounding environment is like, such as audio and scenic footage. This is important because it gives the audience and whoever who watches/sees it a sense of what it was like whilst we were there, essentially being able to experience the same things as we did.

There is also an app we learnt about called “1 second a day” which allows us to record a clip for one second. This would be one of the ways we could capture our experiences, and would also be on of the more short/efficient ways to record our activities.
