In this lesson, we learnt about different types of articles (hard news, feature article and opinion editorial) some that I hadn’t heard of before. I hadn’t actually heard of an op-ed article before. In this lesson, it made me question my previous learning because we had learnt about biased articles but not in a way that Vasu brought up today, about how writers use the emotion of the situation to talk about something else. This lesson has inspired me to make sure that when I read the news that I read it a bit more carefully and understand if it is biased or not. I am still a bit unsure of what a feature article actually is and what the difference is between a hard news article and a feature article.
