North Korea is one of the only countries in the world where the mass abuse of basic human rights is a daily occurrence. This included systematic and widespread counts of murder, enslavement, torture, rape, forced abortion, other sexual violence, and constituted crimes against humanity (Human Rights Watch). I find this absolutely disgusting as I am a strong believer that everybody should be granted these extremely basic rights. It is known that Kim Jong Un rules his country with an iron fist due to the way he oppresses and subjugates his own people. I think that abusing the rights of people is an effective medium of oppressing individuals.
