Through my services, I have been able to make a tangible impact on global communities and issues. I would like to use the SDGs to detail the aforementioned impact. SDG 4, quality education, is the foremost goal of Green Umbrella, the GC I participate in. GU specifically tackles with education in rural Cambodia. In the last year, we have been able to contribute to this issue by raising awareness via our service events. We held an awareness session and a ‘Green Umbrella Dodgeball’ session aimed at fostering a greater understanding of the issue in Cambodia. We used surveys to quantify our impact and the community and it was clear that our advocacy had tangibly changed the minds of people in our community. We were also able to raise funds to send to Green Umbrella through product sales at the family festival.
