My Experience Speaking at the International Youth Day Conference

On August 25th of 2020, I had been asked to speak at the International Youth Day Conference held by an NGO named Jaago. For my service at school, I had been chair at our global concern called ACE (Asian Children’s Education). Due to our success with our work with this NGO, they had asked me to represent our GC and talk about our experiences when raising funds, and the several challenges we have had throughout our journey. Due to my background also being a Bangladeshi and knowing these people beforehand, I had a certain advantage knowing the way to speak, the tone and how to address the other panellists. The only challenge for me was to understand what all the panellists were saying, due to the language barrier, as my vocabulary is quite limited in Bangla. Although, I did get to speak in English, and I did learn a lot from the board of directors that were speaking and it gave me an outlook onto how our generation could do more and the changes we have made which have been monumental.
