SUNDAC: Last Meet Before CNY break LO3

Today was our last time meeting the SUNDAC clients before the break. We began by doing our usual routine again, which was just a trip to hawkers and a few activities after lunch. I found that todays meeting was a good time for me to reflect on the past, regarding our interactions with the clients. One thing that I felt was noticeable and really stood out to me was the growth that the clients have had. They are so much more comfortable in the hawkers environment and the school campus environment. They are much more talkative and much more willing to lead things and take initiative to participate in activities. I remember one client in particular did not like participating in the activities that took place outdoors and especially did not like playing basketball. It was only after, when I was packing away the supplies, that I realised she seemed to have really stepped out of her comfort zone and participated in the basketball activity. I also found that when we were in the library the clients are always very excited to be starting new types of activities. That also made me realise that it was Time for a change of activities again. I noticed that we had been doing the same type of activities, regarding the board games and card games and building blocks which we always use. I think this is a good opportunity to find new activities. I hope that the next time we meet with the clients, we can think of new, exciting activities that will be new to them, because as I’ve seen in the past, they all choose to step out of their comfort zone, and it noticeably builds their own confidence.
