SUNDAC: Final Meeting

Overall this year, I feel that I have gained a lot from my experience in SUNDAC, and after reflecting on what went well and what has changed over the course of this service we can end this year of service on a reflective note. We were given a chance to look back through our old refections and compare and contrast what has changed and what improvement we have made. We found that we mad some major improvements in the communication side of things. When we had better communication skills with the clients, we were able to be more productive during the service and do more activities, as well as have to clients be more engaged in the service to maintain the client’s interest. Some other improvements that we made from evidence of previous reflections were the change of activities. Originally we had been going to hawkers and playing the same type of games and running the same physical activities which we noticed the clients were getting quite bored with. We also took the weather into consideration as at times it would get extremely hot in the middle of the day and the clients needed to take frequent breaks which overall do take quite a lot of time out of the service. We decided to start the drumming activities which was a big success. The drumming not only gave us a goal in mind where we could prepare and look forward to something.
