Do I Get Enough of Sleep?

Sleep is one of the most important factors for your day. The essential amount of sleep for a teenager my age is about 6 to 7 hours a day. I on an average get about 5 to 6 due to my packed schedule. I have morning training on Tuesdays and Thursdays that require me to wake up at 5:30. On average, I fall asleep at 11:00 to 12:00 every night waking at 5:30 which means I get an average of 5:45. On weekends I usually sleep rather late and sleep during the day to catch up; but this messes up my sleep schedule during my school, which is why I normally fall asleep after 10:45. I feel due to my lack of sleep I get more stressed which overall effects my day.

To change my sleeping habits, I will get used to sleeping earlier, during my weekdays and prevent sleeping during my day, by keeping my various gadgets away from me. This should help my week due that I will probably have more energy and will be more refreshed.

Personal statements

I was given a watch from my father. It was my eleventh birthday and all I wanted was a toy car, but instead, he got me a G Shock. I cried when he showed it to me.I’m not too sure why I cried either because I was happy, but I wanted a car. I remember him telling me “yo take care of this watch and prove to your mother that you aren’t too young for your first watch.” That was my first goal, my first mission. At the time I didn’t really know what I was doing with my life. I found school an obstacle, I didn’t care about how I looked or what I planned to do in the future, but after my father gave me that first watch I knew what I wanted to be in the future, a watch collector. I broke that watch the next summer in America and I felt as though my whole life was a lie, that I didn’t have a purpose in life. Yes, my parents were disappointed but I got my next watch soon after, and guess what. I still have that watch till today. I am also glad I broke my first watch for two reasons. The first reason being that now I know how much harder goals are to accomplish and the second one is that there are many other better watches for sale.

 

My name is Aaron, I am your regular fifteen-year-old boy who lives in a hostel in Singapore, raised up in India and has now reached the point of his life where his decisions could change the outcome for his future. I have no clue about what I want to do in my future, maybe take over my dad’s business, open a rival company and maybe even get a Nobel prize if that is possible. In my mind, anything is possible if you have the passion and dedication for what you want to accomplish. When people ask me what I want to do in the future, I reply saying“everything” cause that is the truth. I want to try everything. I would rather have a bad experience than no experience. Like the watch I broke, I’m glad that I broke it because I was able to experience the pain of losing something personal to me and understand how much more work you would need to accomplish your goals in life.

Who am I? Why am I here?

 

I’m Aaron, I’m a boarder, I’m from India, I’m my parent’s favourite child, but I am not sure who I will be in the future.I am also Callums long lost cousin. I’m here to study, to be able to have a great future, to make friends, to carry on my dad’s business; but I probably here for many more reasons, maybe to be famous; change the world for the better or even the worse, but let’s hope not. This is also a really great school unlike the schools in India, and my older sister went here which was basically a large point why my parents wanted me to go here. And this is also a really safe country, making my parents feel relieved when I land in Singapore.
