We heard from the Service Department that the Parents Association (P.A.) was weary about allowing our group to set up a stall at the Family Festival, as we would be publicly displaying menstrual cups. We organised a meeting with the P.A. organiser of the family festival. After having a one-on-one conversation about the importance of our service, and the importance of getting rid of the stigma surrounding this biological process, the P.A. organised a stall for us. If we want to make a change in the mindset of people in other countries around the world, it is vital that people in our community are able to talk about periods freely.
