This year we took part in planning and organising an International Women’s Day event at our school in collaboration with a couple of other focus groups. Our goal was to honour and raise awareness about influential women who changed the global scene of their time. The project entailed creating posters that detailed their achievements and the impact of their work. These were displayed in the plaza as a showcase for the whole school to browse through. We also helped create a video displayed in the plaza, which included an interview with Pranav Mohan, who founded Menstrual Mates LLC, an organisation bringing impoverished women in India together to speak about their experiences regarding menstruation and help eliminate the taboo surrounding periods.
