My Favourite Books (Image won’t pop up…)
Although this isn’t a completed collection of all my favourite books, I generated a decent list of books that have deeply affected me and even shaped me as a person. I decided to divide my favourite books into 4 categories; Classics (my favourite genre), Generally good reads (all genres), Original favourites (books I loved at a younger age), and currently reading/wishlist (quite self-explanatory). I’m not 100% sure why I love all the books so much, perhaps it’s to do with a sense of connection/empathy with the characters, well-created craft by the author, or even proposes interesting concepts and ideas. It is also interesting that many of my chosen books are common favourites amongst the class. This is most likely because they are suggested by people who’ve read them before as they provoke insightful ideas, but it also may say something about me in relation to our similar ages or even my current circumstances. Overall, I think my favourite books on display changed the way I think about things, through comparing/connecting it to my own life. I believe reading has actually made me a better person.
