G9 Identity

As we are approaching the halfway mark in grade 9, we are asked to reflect upon what we have done so far, and how our grade’s identity has grown/changed. For me personally, I have definitely noticed a significant increase in workload and therefore in my responsibilities, and have found it quite overwhelming. In spite of this, I think I’ve managed to get on top of things and am working towards achieving better time management. I think a lot of this goes for my friends and others from what they were saying. Aside from this, I have really enjoyed dedicating my time to my chosen subjects being GPers, Econs, and Music. This has enabled me to grow in these areas in terms of knowledge and skills, but also bond with peers sharing similar interests. One thing that I have found really easy to notice this year is that our grade level as a whole has become a lot less cliquey. Last year it was clear to see that people only ever stuck to their friend groups, however, this year people began to start branching out and felt freer to sit and socialize with a variety of different people. I think that the result of this meant that our community has a refound sense of unity and togetherness.
