PSE G11 Reflection

Challenges from Grade 11:

  1. New subjects
  2. New people
  3. New learning system
  4. New activities and services
  5. New hobbies 😀

How did I tackle challenges successfully:

Subject: The most of the subjects I chose for IB were new to me, but they are what I’m interested in, so it made things easier. Through firsthand experience, I can conclude that people do learn better and faster when they are interested in something.

What were out of my control:

Not much. The COVID-19 circuit breaker tested my self-discipline.

What we learned in PSE is relevant:

The session of “I BE” led us to know more about ourselves and taught us to be confident. This session is helpful because with a better understanding of myself, I knew what was my weakness and what should I do to improve. The session of “relationship” helps me with the challenge “New people”, because it demonstrated the importance of healthy relationship.

Challenges might appear in Grade 12:

  1. Pressure from academic
  2. Heavy schoolwork
  3. Pressure from parents
  4. others

What can I do to overcome?

  1. Read some books, play some games, have some fun… try my best to relax.
  2. I can do a better time management in face of heavy schoolwork.
  3. Talk to the parents/friends.
  4. Others

What can PSE help:

We learned about the way of managing our time during PSE lesson, and we also learned about how to communicate with adults or people who can offer help.

Make a plan:

  1. Pay attention to each lesson and schoolwork.
  2. Sleep: at least 7 hours each day.
  3. Ask for help if necessary.
  4. Try my best.
