Project Week Initial Reflection

For 2018 project week coming up soon, I am in a group with 3 other girls who I know all. Originally we were planning to go to Ho Chi Minh City to do some animal based service, as I am from Ho Chi Minh and have lived there before we thought it would be smoother to go someone where one of us is familiar with the area, and none of the other girls in my group had ben there before. Our initial proposal was rejected because so many groups had wanted to go to Saigon and only 2 groups in total could go. So we started thinking about a second location we could go to be we were stuck on the idea, while I was away for holiday and missed one day of school, the rest of my group had a meeting and they decided that we were going to Sri Lanka. At first I was a bit uneasy about the decision as none of us had gone to Sri Lanka before, and it’s a bit out of our comfort zones regarding safety as we are used to a certain lifestyle here in Singapore. Even my parents were initially concerned about the overall issues we might face in Sri Lanka, regarding safety, navigation, language, ect. None of us have ever been to Sri Lanka before and it is going to be a brand new experience for all 4 of us, came initially as a shock.

Now planning on our trip to Sri Lanka we have chosen a GC which was already given to us as an idea by the school, and we have chosen to do some surfing in Galle as our activity section of our trip. Following is a video reflection of us reflecting on some problems we have been facing and the overall planning process.

After being finally accepted, we made another video on our new progress and what we did to overcome our previous challenges.
