Which Activities and Services have you been a part of and which of these skills have you developed in your time with them?

Out of these skills, I would say…

Coordinating with others: This semester I participated in the Arts and Crafts with PCF Kindergarteners’ service. To plan our own session, I had to coordinate our activities with my partner, including making plans and preparing materials to make sure we all agree on what needs to be done.

Critical Thinking: Last semester I participated in the Gardening service. Sometimes a plant would not be able to grow due to several reasons, and I need to think of several factors that might influence the rate of growth for a plant. Which in turn requires me to evaluate my own methods and identify these factors.

What is your temperament?

“You’re a Theorist, an analytical thinker concerned with rational argument and conceptual understanding. As a Theorist, you approach the world like a scientist, seeking to understand the principles behind what you observe.

Theorists are natural investigators, researchers, and experimenters. As a Theorist, your mind is occupied with creating hypotheses, testing theories, and connecting complex ideas with rational understanding. Theorists are fascinated by systems of abstract thought, including science, mathematics, and engineering—anything that will help them to explain and conceptualize the phenomena in the world around them.

As a Theorist, you tend to take a rational, logical approach in most interactions. You are rarely emotional and hold few things sacred, believing that all ideas are open for discussion and criticism. You love debating and playing devil’s advocate, and usually come away from an argument feeling that you’ve learned something new.”

What is your ‘creative type’?

For the Thinker, the examined life is truly the only one worth living. Ever the perpetual student, you experience the world as an endless opportunity for learning, discovery, and truth-seeking.

Driven by an insatiable intellectual curiosity, the THINKER makes the quest for knowledge and truth a lifelong pursuit. With all those big questions and abstract thinking, you’ve got some serious electrical activity going on in that brain of yours! Few things satisfy your inquisitive mind more than a well-formulated question or an elegant solution, and you’re content to spend much of your time alone, studying topics that fascinate you and engaging with your inner world of ideas.

Your greatest gifts are your sense of wonder and depth of perception. You can see the big picture and the deeper meaning of almost any situation in a way that few others can. Your biggest challenges? Getting out of your head and learning to balance theory with practice. Try not to get too caught up in concepts and abstractions, dear THINKER. Great ideas are meant to be brought to life.

Seek out the company of ADVENTURER types, who provide the perfect counterbalance to your introspective and analytical nature. The infectious energy and playful spirit of the ADVENTURER remind you to embrace the joys of creation—and to not be afraid to get your hands a little dirty in the process.
