Digital Perspectives Vignette Video

Slideshow

My partner and I honored our partnership agreement well. We had clear roles during the making of the film so we were very effective. We did an almost equal amount of work and had clear communication. My partner and I agreed that one pitfall of a partnership is not establishing clear communication and not understanding what the other people had in mind. Difference in terms of what each other wanted for the final product could cause some parts of the video to seem out of place, but we managed to avoid the pitfall by giving each other a general idea of what we want. No one was doing all the work and we adapted the work distribution to make sure we are doing what we do best individually. I was able to draw  on the sticky notes to provide for the video. I also edited some details in the video. To be more reliable I should just more carefully plan out how we complete our video.

Final Video

We communicated the sense of protection and warmth emanated from the hoodie quite well through portraying how the hoodie acted as a shield when the author was judged and feeling insecure. We also showed his love and care toward his hoodie by adding a sentence into the video. I think the tone was very casual, the hand drawn sticky notes conveyed that idea by not making it too well decorated while being expressive enough. We had music that is casual and consistent through out the video, as if the author is telling a story but cutting out the drama. We had one sentence typed onscreen when we didn’t think it can be expressed through our drawings.

How to balance video games and school work

Many teenagers love playing video games. It brings thrill and excitement after a day of exhausting school work. Video games can be relaxing and challenging at the same time. There are two types of video games in terms of investment. The first one is perhaps mobile games which require less investment and are more of a relaxing agent during periods of homework, they take short amounts of time and brings pleasure. The second type are more time consuming and more of a personal commitment to the game. They are way more time consuming and heavily “addicting” as players are concentrating extremely hard on their progress and may lost track of time. Thus spending an incredible amount of time on these games, and resulting in an imbalanced lifestyle that will harm them socially and physically. By balancing your video games time, you should treat video games as a self reward for a day’s hardworking. Always plan your schoolwork ahead of time as to when you would be finishing one and when you should adding some gaming to help you relax. Be sure to set an alarm that would help you notice when you should be stopping to go exercise or read. If you can’t do that yet, just complete all your homework for tomorrow together, and play video games at the end. That way you can give yourself a bit more time without worrying about schoolwork not being finished. It is all about arranging the time periods for which you play video games and enjoy yourselves and the time you spend hardworking. The arrangement should present a reward to you that would motivate you to be more efficient. By balancing gaming and other relaxation time, you would have a better mood, and a healthier lifestyle.
