LO2 Challenge : (undertaken new challenges)/ New skills (developing new skills)

I have been a part of Model United Nations since the 9th grade. I have enjoyed representing countries at conferences, taking part in debate’s on world issues and cooperating with students from other schools in working towards viable solutions for realistic issues.

Initially, I found it difficult to speak in front of a large group of people as I was quite shy and scared of public speaking. MUN has given me many opportunities to face this and speak in front of large groups of people that I both know and don’t know. Although I haven’t completely gotten over my fear of public speaking, I am definitely a lot more confident than I was at the start of the activity and I take more and more opportunities to speak in front of a large group of people.

I have enjoyed taking part in this activity and I am glad I was willing to step out of my comfort zone
