In my opinion, Lady Macbeth shows different perspectives and shows multiple faces, towards the beginning of the play but towards the end of the play, more sides of her are visible to see. Definitely, at the start, Shakespeare portrayed Lady Macbeth as a very ruthless and determined person who was only thinking of the Queen she could become. I found it interesting how Shakespeare really switched up the gender roles, Lady Macbeth played a very masculine person who showed an opposite of the stereotypical female character in the time period. An example of her being portrayed as very masculine is ” ”
However, at the end of the play, we begin to see Lady Macbeth becoming sidelined, she is never on the stage with Macbeth and you start to see her going crazy.
