I met up with Dr. Fermin Diez, who currently works for the National Council of Social Service in Singapore to address the Human Capital needs of the Social Services sector. He works with people on the lower end of the wage scale, who often tend to be women. Because of this, he has looked into the wage gap, specifically the reliability of the statistics provided on it. Dr. Diez explained to me the reasons he believed were behind the wage gap and different factors that influenced how much different people may make.
