RC3 Viva Voce

Throughout the EE process, I stick to my research question and reached a valid conclusion. I did use valid calculation models since all of them were based on NASA’s model and matched with the actual data published by NASA. I believe that this resulted in numerically accurate conclusions. However, the conclusion definitely questions whether gravity assist is the most efficient way to accelerate the interstellar probe to a reasonable speed since it states that it will take 12000 years to reach Alpha Centauri. Hence, If I could undertake this research again, I would change the destination of the probe to closer objects such as outer planets in the solar system. This will result in a more reasonable time required to reach the destination. Researching on this particular topic has definitely expanded my knowledge of the trajectories of space probes and different models used in designing the trajectories.
