“Until the lions have their own historians, tales of the hunt will always glorify the hunter”
~African Proverb
This metaphor is implying the fact that there will always be 2 sides to a story, yet the truth is that only the side of the winners will be glorified and expressed. People often don’t realise the hardship and stories of the losers. The metaphor mentions the idea that “tales of the hunt will always glorify the hunter” This can be connected to the idea of how over the course of history, the ‘hunters’ have taken over countries and taken the lives of the ‘lions’. This is similar to the events of the British invading Australia. They practically killed all the aboriginals, who were initially the only people in Australia. Now aboriginals make up about 3% of the country. The stories of these aboriginals are rarely shared despite the fact that they suffered the most.
