This is the original cover of the book The Help. It was run in the UK like this but changed to the birds when run in the US. This is a perfect examole of the issue this book is trying to tackle, the sensitivity surrounding this issue. A cover with simply a black person on it makes it not allowed to run the book. They had to change to the birds which were a more peaceful image rather than the striking, intriguing cover before. I think this cover is more accurate to the book’s representation as it is supposed to strike the audiunce and show something like black helps to raise a white child.
