LO5 Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Each member has different strengths so it was important to use our strengths to collaboratively plan the activities. For example, group members who were fluent in Chinese have organized Chinese language activities while dancers in our group have focused on planning dancing activities. I think this is important because when we teach something we are passionate about our enthusiasm will help children engage with the activities and have fun. In my service Circus with Local Communities, I have led a cup stacking activity in Grade 10 which a lot of children from YMCA have enjoyed so I am hoping to be able to do similar activities with the children from Mercy Centre. I am especially excited to apply my collaboration and leadership skills when running the cup stacking activity.
