Culturama 2018 has been one of the most fulfilling ones yet! I’ve pushed my boundaries and challenged myself to attempt a dance style which is largely unknown to me. I definitely struggled to maintain the balance of grace and strength as Egyptian dance involves a delicate balance of both. To overcome this challenge I sought the help of my peers and dance leaders which helped me refine and perfect the dance. In Culturama Egypt I also displayed my will to commit and persevere when faced with challenges. There were moments where I felt that I couldn’t perform this dance at the standard I wished to but through my determination, I overcame my self-doubt.
