My Perspectives on Gender Identity

In my opinion, the environment affects a lot of your gender and you as a person as a whole. My sex is a boy, but when I observe my mom cleaning (stereotypical because usually women clean and take care of the house), I think to myself why I couldn’t help her or just do it myself, or why couldn’t a husband help a wife with the baby, cook etc. Your gender doesn’t really affect your identity because even myself, in the past have had female friends (non-romantic) and I liked them as a person just as much as I did my male friends, it’s like saying boys can only have friendships with boys and girls can only have acquaintances with friends with girls, there just isn’t a problem with women/girls being friends with men/boys. Nothing has really influenced me, I normally just do what my other male friends do, and I do a lot of what the male stereotypes do as well.
