My topic: How does technologies help people with ASD?
Since the project have started, I was a little but lost when thinking about the theme that I should do because STEM is really big topic and there are a lot of topics. However, I knew that I want to do something related to medicine which is my interest and I brainstormed the specific topic that I can do within the area. I realised that I am really interested in heart. After deciding to do something related to heart, I brainstorm what are the things that I can research about heart and I decided my topic.
The reason why I chose ASD as a specific heart issue is because I actually had ASD when I was young. Also, ASD is a really interesting heart disease because it is a congenital disease and it is not rare. Furthermore, I have been researching and doing an online course about vital sign on coursera, which tells us about the basic things to advanced knowledge about heart and ECGs, in my free time so, I had a basic knowledge on this topic.
My initial approach to this project was not bad but not too into it. However, as I was thinking what I should I became passionate about the project because I was able to find a topic that I am passionate about.
I think I can demonstrate creativity and innovation by finding other ways if presenting the ideas in a variety of ways and by using online simulations as a experiment.
I would like to dive deeply into the topic to extend my basic knowledge about my topic by researching and using online simulations. The lack of accessible resources and not being able to physically going to school and getting actual feedback from teachers might be a little bit of hurdles when doing this project, but still there are plenty of information online so I would do my best. Also, because there are a lot of resources online, it is hard to get a reliable sources so that might be another hurdle for me. Overall, I am really enjoying this project and am looking forward for further researching and presenting the knowledge.
