Ryan,
I really enjoyed your article – from its pithy title, to the use of relevant photos, clear organization and captivating case studies – well done!
The idea of failure or difficulty being desirable is a highly provocative and engaging one, and I commend you for teasing it out of not just a talk at Writer’s Fortnight, but from your own reading, and life experiences. That is the mark of a maturing writer who sees connections in seemingly disconnected events. Keep observing life and making those leaps!
The one area I wish you had developed more was the conclusion which seems a little tentative and generalized. Sometimes it helps to flip the situation around – what happens when people never fail? What about people who don’t recover from failure?

Thanks! I will take your advice into consideration and have this article revised.
