About

My name is Henah Kwak, a HS student in UWCSEA East Campus. I’ve lived as an expat in Singapore for more than 8 years, 6 hours of flight away from my home country, South Korea. Whilst I very strongly identify myself as South Korean – familiar to the culture and fluent in my mother tongue – at the same time I feel quite connected to Singapore, a place that feels closest to home.

I’m a passionate reader. The most recent book I’ve read that I absolutely loved; Cat’s Eye by Margaret Atwood. Although my all time favourite novel has been Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë ever since Grade 5.

I recently took on digital painting, after the purchase of a digital pen tablet. I’ve always loved art, drawing and sketching away on whatever piece of paper I can find, the reason why my subject choices for IGCSE includes Art and Design: Fine Arts. I’m still exploring away digitally, but it definitely is a refreshing change from old-school pen and paper.
