A common bad decision that Dan Gilbert mentioned was price reduction and how we would be more inclined to buy something if there is a more expensive option. A have fallen a victim to this many times in my life but the most recent incident was this past summer when I was buying a pair of shoes. I decided to buy a decently expensive shoe that was over priced because I saw that there was a shoe that was almost double the price of the one I wanted which made me feel that the one I was getting was cheap. However the shoe I bought does not cost nearly what it is sold for but because I saw it next to the extremely expensive shoes, I decided to buy it because it looked more reasonable.
