I have just completed the first week of my internship and I realised that I hadn’t set any goals or aims to work towards while I will be there. Here are two goals that I would like to work towards.

• Understanding whether or not I want to be a part of the field: The company at which I am working is one where people of three different fields work together: physics, business studies, and pedagogy. I have actually developed quite an interest in the field of pedagogy through this experience;  even though I have been working on the physics aspect of things so far.
• Benefitting the company is another major goal to consider. While I am here to gain experience and to understand what it is like to work in the real world, I can’t leave here not having given the company something in return. The company has, of course, given me some work to do and I need to complete it diligently, so as to ensure that the company is satisfied their needs.
