(Q) So what are you planning to do for Christmas this year?

(A) Spend time in Singapore with friends and family. Meet up with old friends; I happen to have Chinese, Indian, all sorts of friends.

(Q) What was your occupation in the earlier days?

(A) I worked in a plumbing firm for over 25 years. However, from 1975-82 I traveled quite a lot.

(Q) So you mentioned you like to travel a lot, which countries have you visited in the last couple of years?

(A) Switzerland, South Africa, Cape-Town, Alaska, Hawaii, China (of course, as that’s where I’m from). Now, unfortunately, I have no time to travel because my children come first.

(Q) Would it be alright to talk about your family?

(A) Sure, I have 5 children. One of my sons passed away a couple of years ago due to cancer. My wife died 25 years ago, in 1994

(Q) Do you enjoy the time that you spend over here, in Singapore?

(A) Honestly, I have no choice. This would ultimately be my last place here. I don’t think I’d be traveling anymore. I don’t want to burden the children, so I have no choice.
