Thoughts on Humour

My knowledge on humour, or at least its intricacies was limited till today, the extent of my knowledge was the basic classifications that ‘memes’ would be placed under. We discovered the different types of humour, and the learnings allowed me to analyse my own tendencies, and how I can often have witty humour with dry delivery. It also linked to something I learnt in a course over the summer, that when one experiences an aha moment they get a hit of dopamine, and this is why that shock factor is so important when delivering a joke, as the sudden dopamine influx creates the momentary feeling of happiness in a person that’s associated with laughing
