For this session, we decided to partner up with the campus gardening service and help them mulch throughout our garden. Mulching is a covering layer spread on the ground around plants to prevent excessive evaporation or erosion and help enrich the soil. For the layer that we added, we had used dried leaves and sticks collected around campus by the gardeners. Most of the clients enjoyed this activity and had a good time. I thought this was a nice change of activity because usually, we are doing things indoors and today’s session was outdoors. Though some of the clients did not enjoy being outdoors so we had gone in 10 minutes earlier to play games. Overall this session was quite successful and I think we should repeat it sometime.
