Season 3 badminton C

LO1-Identify their own strengths and develop areas for growth. Students are able to see themselves as individuals with various abilities and skills, of which some are more developed than others.

Badminton has been a part of me since I was really young, I used to be not confident in badminton because I never have any proper training and I never really get the chance to put the time to train especially after stop playing badminton for more than 7 years. However, after joining pre-season badminton, I got my confidence and I want to try the sport again. As the start of everything, it was challenging but a fun experience especially with our game date close by. Even though we just had four training, we were having a game. I was not confident but I was excited to do something different and learn from my opponents. Our first game was a loss, we lost the game 1:4 but our team were not discouraged but instead, we decided to train harder and become better. We arrived in training earlier and the relationship in the team is getting better as well. Over the last few weeks, I have improved on my serve, my serves have been more accurate consistent. With constant practice, I have learned how to hold the racket properly and acquire new skills in badminton to help with the game like smashing and netting, even though, I think I still need to improve my smashing and my position when I move around the court, I believe that with more practice I can become better. This was also shown through games between other schools, compared to our team’s game, our scores are getting better as our latest game was a win 4:1.
