Today we watched a TED talk by Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie about the danger of a single story. Chimamanda begins with personal experiences and stories and how the single narrative of her own life shaped the way she wrote and told stories. She then moves on to a broader context and considers single stories that are told in mass media and literature and how these dictate cultural stereotypes
