Lesson 1: Mrs Gren
One word that describes my dominant emotion in this lesson was happy because we were making the MRSGREN videos and it was really fun and interesting at the same time. This learning point relates to the future because if someone ever asks me how can you tell if somehting is alive, you can remember MRSGREN which is Movement, Respiration, Sensitivity, Growth, Reproduction, Excretion, Nutrition.
Lesson 2: How big is a cell?
One practical skill I found difficult was focusing the microscope becuase it’s been a while since I last used a microscope so remembering how was kind of difficult. I learnt more about plant and animal cells which was a really nice recap for me.
Lesson 3: Plant v. Animal Cells
Lesson 4:
One thing that I already knew was some of the organelles in plant and animal cells and their functions. One thing that I should really remember is the plant cell, some organelles and their functions and also the animal cells because although I knew them, I really need to review them.
Lesson 6: Osmosis
I feel like watching the video was the most useful thing for me because it really helped me solidify my understanding of osmosis and diffusion. My personal rating out of 5 for focus is 5, learning 3, and time keeping 5. My partner and I didn’t distract each other and I spent enough time in the beginning of class organising the lesson so that I could take a way the most from this lesson. I learnt a lot about hypotonic and hypertonic which was really interesting.
