A short while ago, I participated in the annual UWCSEA Photography Opening Eyes Competition. I thought it would be a cool experience to gain some recognition to some of the photos I had taken as well as talk with other photographers. I went into the competition with no expectations, submitting 7 different pieces of photography (seen above). Surprisingly I managed to get one into the book this year! It was very exciting. But I think more importantly I was able to connect and talk with those who also had a passion for photography. I learned a lot from more experienced photographers, especially Mr. Caleb, who I think I could learn a lot more from. These connections will help me develop and grow to be the best I can be.
