EE Final Reflection

Overall I would say my Spanish extended essay was a challenge. The challenge didn’t just stem from the fact that I was writing a language I didn’t understand, but it was also the fact that the content had to be just as heavy as any other subject. I would say my Extended essay taught me how to look Beyond the grammar of a subject but to see the true cultural artifacts that lie behind it. I’m really thankful for the opportunity to be able to engage in one of my interest through an academic lens. I’m also thankful that this was a personal project I was able to analyze the songs myself and I do so I was able to learn more about what I considered feminist and misogynist.  My supervisor was able to help me profoundly by putting me in the right direction, while he guided me he definitely didn’t serve me on a silver platter.
