What Lockdown is Teaching Me About Me

To flatten the curve the government has instructed everyone to stay inside their home until further notice. Though I didn’t appreciate or like it very much at the start, I’m starting to get used to the routine I built for myself to make me more productive. The lockdown gave me an opportunity to reflect on the things that motivate me, and build routines and systems that would allow me to manage my time effectively preventing me from becoming too drained and bored by the end of the day. I’ve enjoyed drumming a lot more in lockdown, something that is both engaging while forcing me to focus and get something done. I’ve started venturing into different topics that I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to explore if I was at school, courses like programming or psychology;

Ultimately, I am thankful for having the opportunity to not only reflect on the past year and the things I could improve on but more importantly start focusing on improving those aspects and skills that perhaps weren’t fully polished.
