After watching the second Jeffery Sachs video, I have come to believe that poverty is more complicated than I though it was. Poverty does not always mean lacking money and wealth, it also refers to the lack of basic needs such as water, food and shelter. Referring to Maslow’s triangle, he states that there are some things like homeostasis, sex and sleep which are also extremely important for humans. These are things that humans need and depend on. Poverty means not being able to have access these things which the rest of the population may take advantage of and they may take granted for.
