L04: Show commitment to and perseverance in your CAS experiences
For this season in basketball, I feel as though I have show a lot of commitment to my team and this has definitely reaped rewards. All of our ACSIS games finished before the December break, however; we still had training before SEASAC. During this time, many people found excuses to stop coming to the training or did not take it as seriously as before. However, I showed up to every training session in order for my personal improvements. In fact, because of this, even though I was not the best played on the team, I was able to be on the starting 5 for our Friday nights light game just because of my perseverance. This made me feel really motivated to do well and keep up the commitment as I finally saw the results from my hard work.
Attached is a clip from the game.

L04: Show commitment to and perseverance in you CAS experiences
This year, I have been attending pre-season basketball every Tuesday and Thursday morning. This requires me to wake up earlier, which I personally find challenging to do so. Therefore, recently I have had to persevere and make sure that my sleep schedule is fixed so that I can wake up in time to train before school. This year, for basketball, I really want to improve my skills and awareness in game situations. I have been training out of school and practising some of the basic drills that we do in pre-season at home to solidify what we practise in the training sessions. I think that this demonstrates my commitment to the sport and my willingness to improve. I feel very proud whenever I put in the extra effort and I feel as though practising more often is helping to make my routine more disciplined.
