Global Perspectives – Car Crash Discussion

How does your background and ethical beliefs impact your influences? Mrs. Gonzalez gave an example of a car crash and your mother sitting next to you and in front of you there are seven children, would you kill your mother or those seven children? Depending on your religion and beliefs, you would make a decision that is suitable to you. In my religion, family is very important to us, therefore I would rather the children getting hurt. But, whereas in other religions, they might argue saying how younger people and more people are more worth saving as they still have a lot of their life to live. Stereotypes, family history and influences all link into your thinking as a whole. But obviously,  if you have more time to think about the situation, you would think deeper and consider the emotions and feelings that have been attached to this though. We make so many decisions on a day to day basis without even thinking about it. For example ; an everyday decision could be ; would you rather go to your friends before class or go to class and be on time? To a more important decision ; what university would you rather go to? Our decisions can vary, but logic, emotion, and cultural influences still apply to all these situations.
