Sarah Healey

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Sarah Healey and I am a High School Psychology Teacher working at UWCSEA. I currently teach IBDP Psychology and GCSE Global Perspectives.

This blog is dedicated to some of the projects that I work upon as well as a space for my thoughts.

IBDP Psychology

A deeper look into psychological research in the real-world to extend students knowledge beyond the IBDP Psychology curriculum.

I like to create short video clips that are visual and informative to share with my classes and the IBDP community.

Piece of Mind Wellbeing Society

I work with students weekly to debunk myths surrounding mental health and wellbeing. As a group, we collaboratively experiment with a range of wellbeing strategies, look for evidence-based research and aim to create a shared language that improves our dialogue about mental health and wellbeing.

Daraja Academy

Working with Daraja Academy Global Concern group – aims to foster cross-cultural relationships between UWCSEA East students and Daraja Academy for girls in Kenya.

We aim to raise awareness about and promote gender equality and foster women’s empowerment in all cultures. We meet on a weekly basis and through interactive and educational sessions, we aim to strengthen our connection with Daraja through curriculum collaboration, and fundraising for materials and infrastructure.
